The 2^nd Global Summit on Vulnerability Reporting

Vulnerability Information Systems

The 2^nd Global Vulnerability Reporting Summit will take place in parallel with the Osaka 2018 FIRST Technical Colloquium being held in Osaka, Japan on March 14-16, 2018. The summit will consist of working sessions covering a number of vulnerability information systems topics.

The primary goal of the summit is to develop a consistent global vision intended to improve multiple aspects of the vulnerability response life cycle while examining how existing vulnerability related efforts actually fit together.

The Summit is being held at the NTT WEST Training Center, located at:

4-15-82 Higashinodamachi, Miyakojima-ku, Osaka-shi,

Osaka-fu, 534-0024 Japan

There is no cost to attend the summit.

Who should attend?

Anybody that is developing, using, or considering standards, specifications, initiatives, or practices related to the following topics should attend the summit:

• Vulnerability identification, naming, and tracking
• Vulnerability data formats and information sharing
• Severity, priority, and threat assessment
• Inventory and software component transparency
• High-volume data management and automation
• Non-technical obstacles to vulnerability reporting and response

Summit attendees should have practical experience and familiarity with one or more of these topics in order to participate meaningfully in the working sessions. The intent of the Summit is to develop useful improvements and real outcomes.
