CVE-2024-27867 An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in AirPods Firmware Update 6A326, AirPods Firmware Update 6F8, and Beats Firmware Update 6F8. When your headphones are seeking a connection request to one of your previously paired devices, an attacker in Bluetooth range might be able to spoof the intended source device and gain access to your headphones.
CVE-2023-49922 An issue was discovered by Elastic whereby Beats and Elastic Agent would log a raw event in its own logs at the WARN or ERROR level if ingesting that event to Elasticsearch failed with any 4xx HTTP status code except 409 or 429. Depending on the nature of the event that Beats or Elastic Agent attempted to ingest, this could lead to the insertion of sensitive or private information in the Beats or Elastic Agent logs. Elastic has released 8.11.3 and 7.17.16 that prevents this issue by limiting these types of logs to DEBUG level logging, which is disabled by default.
CVE-2023-31421 It was discovered that when acting as TLS clients, Beats, Elastic Agent, APM Server, and Fleet Server did not verify whether the server certificate is valid for the target IP address; however, certificate signature validation is still performed. More specifically, when the client is configured to connect to an IP address (instead of a hostname) it does not validate the server certificate's IP SAN values against that IP address and certificate validation fails, and therefore the connection is not blocked as expected.
CVE-2022-49379 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: driver core: Fix wait_for_device_probe() & deferred_probe_timeout interaction Mounting NFS rootfs was timing out when deferred_probe_timeout was non-zero [1]. This was because ip_auto_config() initcall times out waiting for the network interfaces to show up when deferred_probe_timeout was non-zero. While ip_auto_config() calls wait_for_device_probe() to make sure any currently running deferred probe work or asynchronous probe finishes, that wasn't sufficient to account for devices being deferred until deferred_probe_timeout. Commit 35a672363ab3 ("driver core: Ensure wait_for_device_probe() waits until the deferred_probe_timeout fires") tried to fix that by making sure wait_for_device_probe() waits for deferred_probe_timeout to expire before returning. However, if wait_for_device_probe() is called from the kernel_init() context: - Before deferred_probe_initcall() [2], it causes the boot process to hang due to a deadlock. - After deferred_probe_initcall() [3], it blocks kernel_init() from continuing till deferred_probe_timeout expires and beats the point of deferred_probe_timeout that's trying to wait for userspace to load modules. Neither of this is good. So revert the changes to wait_for_device_probe(). CVE-2019-7620 Logstash versions before 7.4.1 and 6.8.4 contain a denial of service flaw in the Logstash Beats input plugin. An unauthenticated user who is able to connect to the port the Logstash beats input could send a specially crafted network packet that would cause Logstash to stop responding.
CVE-2018-7665 An issue was discovered in ClipBucket before 4.0.0 Release 4902. A malicious file can be uploaded via the name parameter to actions/beats_uploader.php or actions/photo_uploader.php, or the coverPhoto parameter to edit_account.php.
CVE-2006-2537 Multiple format string vulnerabilities in (a) OpenBOR 2.0046 and earlier, (b) Beats of Rage (BOR) 1.0029 and earlier, and (c) Horizontal Shooter BOR (HOR) 2.0000 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute code via format string specifiers in configurations used in various mod files, as demonstrated by the (1) music identifier in data/scenes/intro.txt, which is not properly handled in the update function, and (2) background identifier in data/easy/1aeasy.txt, which is not properly handled in the shutdown function.
